Saw it on The Panel ages ago... and heard it a little while ago again, to which I said "I already saw that on The Panel."

What should I say to this?
'Copperfield,' said Mr. Micawber, 'farewell! Every happiness and prosperity! If, in the progress of revolving years, I could persuade myself that my blighted destiny had been a warning to you, I should feel that I had not occupied another man's place in existence altogether in vain.

Amazing it sure is. But that above paragraph is still my worst nightmare. I rather have correct spelling and punctuation all the time, but that's just me.

I'm not that extreme, especially not on the use of the 'apostrophe'. But Neil is incredibly particular on the correct use of the apostrophe.

There's no class and sophistication in spelling mistakes.

granted, it hardly looks classy, but its a lot quicker to type without having to add in apostrophes and the such. i always try to spell correctly, but it doesnt bother me if i dont while on a forum or msn. take cricket player- hardly the best spelling, punctuation or syntax, but you still get what he means. most of the time. however, too many spelling errors, or outrageous mistakes in easy words does sort of get me.
anyway, i had seen that thing before witht the letters being jumbled around. pretty cool though, hey

I've been very particular in the spelling, apostrophe and general grammar aspect of writing ever since I rejoined CW staff back in January 2004. Those who talk to me on MSN will confirm that I don't compromise on the same in even chat sessions.

I'm not desperately bothered by omitted apostrophes in the name of speed, but extra apostrophes in plurals and, for crying out loud, "always", tend to cause anger.

Yea I saw it on www.boreme.com a while ago (2003 - Sep, Page 2 - Spellcheckers made obsolete by...), all of the stuff on that site seems to get repeated months, years later on by people.
