Sympathies to any of CW involved

http://news.ninemsn.com.au/article.aspx?id=4232

I understand that a lot of our members come from Sri Lanka and India, and many other Asian continents. I just want you to know that if any of you are involved in this horrific natural disaster my thoughts are with you and you are in my prayers

My deepest sympathies also.

My heart goes out to the Sri Lankan side currently touring NZ, perhaps watching the same coverage in the middle of the night as I am.

I've been checking the news all through the day, as I know a few people travelling in Thailand. I hope everyone's alright and my thoughts are with everyone effected somehow by this.

Absolutely tragic event.

What I find tasteless is the way our media focuses on developed countries' travellers and maybe one or two from developed contries being injured, instead of the millions who are homeless...on extra news coverage today, they even interviewed a guy from a travellers' agent! Pathetic...

I am really sorry for the loss sufferred by the people of the countries in question, not to mention the financial damage sustained by thousands of homeless people and seeing the attention some of the governments in question pay towards the lower strata of the society, it is going to be a long, hard road to recovery for many of 'em. I hope our resident CW'ers in Sri-Lanka [Nookie_lk and dinu?] and Eastern Indian are fine and hopefuly didn't suffer any damage.

Far as I know nookie_lk lives in The UK, so he should be fine.
But yeah, one of the worst disasters to hit Earth for some time.
Hopefully aid will get to those most in need ASAP.
