Icon2 cool songs to impress my cool friends

i'm driving me and some buddies to this beach town on the coromandel for new years. on the way down if the conversation dies down. it might not cause there are gonna be me, a mate, and 3 girls. girls can talk for yonks imo, plus there are 3 of them . but should it go quiet. imo, music is the way to go.

now imo, my music is cool and boss. but i'm not sure my friends will agree. so that they don't think i've become a lamer overnight, what songs should i include on an awesome mix cd, so the fun filled vibe remains in the air???

When my mates and I went to the coast, one of them made a whole bunch of different CDs (80s, rock, black man music etc...)

Go that way and you should be fine! Just takes more time.

Forgive me if it's just because I don't listen to Jamiroquai, but what element of their music contains rap?

I believe the genre is called 'funk'.

Why are you trying to impress them with music that's not really your thing? Tell them to bring their own music and you take some of yours and then compromise by a time share arrangement.
