Hey Andy, I'm thinking of taking up Mandarin at Uni next year. If you're in Shanghai then you should have some exposure to it, so would you recommend it? Is China nice? I've heard some pretty nasty stuff about it, but I'm thinking I'd like to go.

^People dont say excuse me when they bump into in you in China, otherwise everyone would be saying excuse me, oh excuse me, excuse me, all the time.

Yes, 'excuse me' has been replaced by 'let's have a baby', which has only exacerbated the problem.

Oh but they at least try to make amends, some families say, 'Look, we had a girl, lets dump it and try again till we get a boy!'

Yeah, the airport is amazing.. Shame that you didn't get to see the amazing chequerboard approach over the city from the old airport.. Sad to see it being used as a car park now..

Anyway, whilst on the subject, found this cool pic with some typical Pretorian weather..

Have fun. I only got to see the airport for a matter of minutes running between flights (delay because of Sydney hailsorm).
