What do you want to Achieve?

This is mainly for the younger guys here, who don't excell at cricket. I just want to know what everyone wishes to have achieved by the time they are 50?

I'd like a fruitful Test batting career with 9000+ runs at 75.46.

Failing that, I wouldn't mind something researchy or freedom-fightery.

    Failing that, a non-gutter deathbed.

I want to have played in the Brisbane First Grade comp. Have a family and a well paying, respectable job, that's about it.

this is a kind of either thing.. I wouldnt have time for all of them!

    1) To play first class cricket, in any capacity (I think I lack the immense talent needed for the test game)

    2) To be a sports photographer for a leading publication

    3) To get a huge amount of flying done in SA, achieving a fATPL (commercial pilots license), and a steady job in either Africa, Aus, USA, NZ, UAE

    4) Oh and to be in the most stable, wicked relationship ever with a relaxed brunette..

I've always wanted to be a barrister, however my 'out there' dream is to write and direct a film.

I have had dreams of being a cricketer, but I never really took them seriously.

How well would you want it to play?

    Does 19 count as "younger"?

Seeing as any kind of cricket career patently isn't going to happen, I'm looking along these lines...

    1) Progress to Level III Coaching Qualification and play my part in the Junior set up in England
    2) Get a First Class degree
    3) Become Cricket Correspondent for a national newspaper/website/TV/radio resulting in being paid to follow England round the world
    4) Should journalism not happen, a job with decent job satisfaction and passable salary
    5) A stable family life
    6) A son who captains the England cricket team

    Hmm...

    1) First Class Cricket
    2) Family
    3) Decent job, wouldn't mind one to do with Cricket.

You are not interesting enough to be a novelist. Don't have a good enough sense of humour either
