Well, we are speaking of people of at least passable intelligence.

Don't think we got that far to be honest, the pyhyics people I know go on about it quite a bit, something to do with Integration and differentiation or something, have no idea what it actually is, just lots of graphs with curved lines as far as I can tell.
We neve were the best at Maths though. |

Nah I don't do Further Maths. I'm doing C1, C2 and M1 this year and C3, C4 and S1 next year. M1 is genuinely horrible, I hate it.
Heard from quite a few people that S1 is really easy actually, much easier than M1 infact. |

Lucky you. The people who do FM at our school are doing D1 at the end of January and from what I've seen, it doesn't seem to be too hard. I hate M1, it really is hard if you can't do it, like me. Some people find it easier than C1, but I've spoken to people that did AS and A2 and that have got 60UMS in M1 and 95UMS in C4. Just preference I guess. The people who do FM have to do M2 and M3 which are meant to be unspeakably hard. Thank **** I don't do them.

Level of easyness.
D1 >>>> S1 >>>>>> Solving the meaning of life >>>>>> M1

Thats great, shame were talking about maths, which you agree it has no place being taught in, and its so far off everything else you are learning, so its takes a complete change of mindset to deal with, and if your not a physics person then its a bit of a pain.

It's AWEEEESSSSSSSSSOMMMMMMMMMMEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
But dire it's in math. WTF is that? Math should be pure, not muddled with practical application. Especially mechanics, where the only mathematical operations are addition and multiplication. |
