    Xmas songs

With the time for playing the old Xmas songs out again (they even played them towards closing time at a certain Exeter club last night) I wondered what Xmas songs the panel are fond of?
    My list reads something like:
Floating (\ Walking) In The Air - Aled Jones
With A Little Help From My Friends - The Beatles
When Children Rule The World - composed by Jim Steinman and ALW
Merry Xmas Everybody's Having Fun - Slade
Merry Christmas Everyone - Shakin' Stevens
    Last Christmas - Wham!
Spaceman Came Travelling - Chris De Burgh
Another Rock'N'Roll Christmas - Child Porn Bloke (ie Gary Glitter)
I Wish It Could Be Christmas Every Day - Roy Wood and Wizzard
Stop The Cavalry - Jona Lewie
New York Fairytale - The Pogues (and Kirsty MacColl)
Rocking Around The Christmas Tree - Mel & Kim
Go Change The World - Paul Cattermole, Jonathan Lee and Bradley McIntosh
Dancing In The Moonlight - Toploader
Christmas Time, Mistletoe And Wine - Cliff Richard
If You're Not The One - Daniel Bedingfield
    Christmas Time - The Darkness
Some choices are, of course, idiosyncratic and the songs have no geneal connection with Xmas but are simply the result of personal connotations.
I presume most people have heard of them all, though?

I hate christmas songs. I think a)they're nearly all poo
b)they exploit a religious period and have helped commercialise it to the point where there is no point in christmas

Believe me, Sean, the commercialisation happened long, long before the songs started appearing!
Anyway, IMO the religious stuff is not worth it, I'm not a Christian - I enjoy the commercial stuff far more!

Most of which are highly overrated.

I see the point in old music (of his kind of time) but not in him.

Do You See What I See?
    O Holy Night
Sreesanth said, "Next ball he was beaten and I said, 'is this the King Charles Lara? Who is this impostor, moving around nervously? I should have kept my mouth shut for the next ball - mind you, it was a length ball - Lara just pulled it over the church beyond the boundary! He is a true legend."
