The latest I've got is Encore by Eminem - at first I was disappointed, but I'm slowly warming to it.

Isn't commercially producing CDs somewhat not raging against the machine?

That's the way! That's what happened to me with MMLP and The Eminem Show as well... Encore has got to be my favourite though, it's brilliant. I don't know how it will ever get old!

This kinda reminds me of an old story:

Two minstrels feel strongly about the plight of the poor, and take every opportunity to sing heartfelt odes about poverty and social injustice on street corners. They're outraged by hypocrisy, and vow to always be completely consistent in their beliefs and practices.

One day, they are offered by a wealthy consort from the Palace, the chance to sing to large audiences in return for handsome payment. The first minstrel takes the job - but, realising that he must be consistent at all costs, he decides to be a conduit for royal propaganda. The second minstrel refuses the money, preferring to stay on the street corners and preach his message to whomever might listen. He touches few people, and dies of starvation.

The moral might seem obscure, but sometimes, you have be prepared to operate within the machine in order to rage against it (kinda reminds me of Korn's "Y'all Want a Single"). Attacking it on the grounds of inconsistency's not always fair.

"FFS I'm sick and tired of having to see a bloke bend over to pick something up or lean over and see their arse crack. For christ's sake pull your pants up or buy some underpants you bogan because nobody want's to see it. And this is a boat building shed (well one of them) not a porn studio."

haha, well I think the message they're promoting through the music on the CD and where the money goes from those sales would still fall under the 'raging against the machine' category. Now if one of the Pop Idols called themselves 'Rage Against the Machine' THAT would be funny.
