100% aye. My parents have always supported me in my athletic/academic pursuits. They have afforded me opportunities other people don't always get, and I'm eternally grateful for that. Furthermore I'm good friends with both my parents.

I respect my parents for their achievements in their occupations.

My father is a senior advisor to a government department head, while my mother is about to become the part-owner of a national research company.

While I may not respect everything they have done in their personal lives, they have both gone far in their careers.

I'll go 8/10 overall.

I just got up at 5.30 to take them to the airport then will be doing similar to pick them up.

Does that answer the question?

Strangely enough - not really. My dad has a bachelor in land surveying (although I think it was a diploma back in his day) and a post-grad business studies diploma, while mum was going to head to University, but had us kids instead.

Out of my siblings, one sister did a secretary course, while the other has almost finished a Masters course. I flounced around at uni for years, and didn't come out with anything and somehow scabbed a job as a journalist.
