Christmas Lights
Is it too early to be putting the Christmas lights up? We did it yesterday, and it isn't even December yet. Even most of the shops around here haven't got their Christmas decorations up yet.
When do you guys put your Christmas lights up?

Because this place has nothing going for it for the rest of the winter, they tend to spend months celebrating christmas.. When it is all a big load of boll***s here anyway..
Christmas lights in town went up on October 26th (yep you read that as October the twenty sixth).. Got switched on in early november I think.. As a family, we shove them up halfway through December |

Usually after school lets out. It's ridiculous to put it up more than a month early (no offence Kyle
) as it sort of detracts from the spirit of Christmas. Here in Trinidad they've had lights up in stores for weeks and the television/radio advertising has been about the same. Sort of ruins it for me.

How does it distract from the spirit of Christmas? Christmas is all about bright lights, love and giving. |

We put ours up in the first weekend in December usually. The mall that I work at has all of them up already, along with the repeated Christmas Carols. Over and over again. I HATE Frosty the Snowman.
