The Webbers
Well history was created today with the newly created soccer club, The Webbers who was formed by the paddle pop lion, who come into millions of dollars.
He scouted high and low to come up with some of the most promising youngsters this country has ever seen..... with a stadium capacity of 9183 (7000) seated the media has tipped promotion for the newly crowned young fella's a picture of the team........ stay tuned for all the individual player stats and the first bit of news with a bunch of friendlys to follow..... this is the start of total domination by the webbers.

here is a copy of all players in the team, except myself and bugs_jnr who is my 11 month old son. i added josh into the side as we have limited keepers so he is a back up keeper with injury etc.
inetersting with the stats ppls wages and stuff......first friendly to follow... |

in front of 2163 newly created webbers had a point to prove.
first friendly was played against a lower side in gretna......punters where on the young boys but would they be ableto dominate as a group for the first time.......................... the boys cracked the first goal in ten minutes with a wonderful counterstrike by marc down the left hand side, he then passed it on to nnanden who tried to go himself but the keeper cleaned him up, bronco was then in teh right spot and put away the loose ball, 1 - 0....the goal scoring chances where all over the place and good strikes from marc, bugssy and bronco seen the youngsters jump to a 4 - 0 lead. xavier out jumped and put away the perfect header and it was 5 - 0 at half time. with all the fitness levels alot to be desired there was alot of changes for the 2nd half. lord scored a well capped move in the 60th minute. 6 - 0 xavier stepped up for a penalty that was given in the 77th minute.he didnt miss, drilling it home. they where the only 2 goals in the 2nd half with a good sign being the clean sheet of the defence and back 4. some very good prformances with som esolid goals. next friendly v dunfermline...... |

some news about frindlys coming up, tried to get some good teams but liverpool, arsenal and those teams rejected us.
coming up is the friendly v dunfermline......who are from scotland...... |

a couple of changes for the 2nd friendly v dunfermline
the changes where bugssy and blewy where rested, bronco moved to the bench,dave richards replaced him, kears was bought on, hunter was bought in upfront and haffy was put on the bench.... time for the action. a lack luster performance from both teams in the first half seen both sides hit the showers at 0 - 0. webbers having the better opportunities with a 9 shots to 1 but only putting 2 on target. a few chances made but none taken.. a few changes made to the webbers with manager testing all positions but fitness was severly lacking with the young guns......... lets have a look at the 2nd half stats................... neil made 3 superb saves in 5 minutes, keeping the score at 0 - 0 with thewebbers struggling in midfield....haffy put the ball in the back of the net on 58 minutes with a good passing move through cloete and walshy, haffy put it passed the keeper, 1 - 0 webbers. in the 84th minute, a mistake by the boys up the back seen a one on one chance for the home side which seen neil try his best but just couldnt keep it out. 1 - 1. the new boys bought back down to earth after their impressive first up win, they where held to a draw, the alarming stats where 16 shots on goal but only 6 on target............... |

friendly v carlisle......
webbers wanted to get back on track after a dissapointing effort last game with some whole sale changes to the side, blewy and bugssy both back into the starting line up along with bronco still on the bench, giving age master a run in the starting xi...... the first 18 mins was pretty conservative with no team really giving the other team a chance. marc hit an absolute screamer on 18 minutes to have the home side up 1 - 0. the next ten minutes carlisle where throwing everything at the young boys but they just couldnt crack em. then Jamee on 38 minutes kick one down town which nnanden won the header beat the keeper but it was cleared of the line..... 43rd minute bugssy had a long shot which was saved, the ball fell into blewys path, beat 2 players shoots but keeper saves again, marc with an open goal misses the target but was put under pressure from a storming defender and he had an extremely tight angle to deal with..... 2nd innings, a few chances by both sides where not taken, and in the 60th minute a few changes where made.... 61st minute bronco intercepts a pass and sends nibblet goal bound who then beats the keeper in a good low shot, webbers up 2 - 0 . |
