UK Music Hall of Fame

50's - Cliff Richard - I assume that's because they want someone still alive
to show up for the award?
60's - The Rolling Stones - Hmm, can think of a slightly better band from
Liverpool.
70's - Queen - fair enough.
80's - Michael Jackson - UK?!
90's - Robbie Williams - Who only left Take That halfway through that
decade.

A nice idea in concept, but what a load of rubbish.

When Snow Patrol release a single that goes straight to number 39, and at number 2 is a song called "My Neck, My back (lick it)".. Makes you wonder about peoples judgement..

Hey, at least Robbie Williams is good! Even though he's a pop icon (who are all supposedly manufactured), he has a damn good voice.

The Beatles are one of the five artists who were selected as the five first inductees to the UK Music Hall of Fame. The other four artists were Elvis Presley, Madonna, Bob Marley and U2.

Personally I can't believe that The Who were left out of the selection for the 60's. Other top bands like Cream were left out as well. I'd like to know who was on the selection panel cos' it's a bloody fix!

Robbie Williams is good yes, but he didn't start as a solo artist till well over halfway through that decade.

I don't think he should be penalised for getting his timing wrong... He's still pretty good tbh..

Yes, but to be the act of the decade, shouldn't he at least have been there all decade?

Not really... You don't necessarily need to be around all decade to make the biggest impact on it..
Kerry Packer has arguably had the biggest impact on modern international cricket, and his circus was around for, what, 18 months?
