IVF has been done for 40 years, but we're still nowhere near an artificial womb. Suggests this is waaay too more complicated than you think

(and who do you sue when the child from the artificial womb has developmental problems?)

Not to my knowledge. They were all female though, interestingly.

Strangely enough I have no idea what the Governor of Virginia said a coupe of weeks ago, or indeed at all. Likewise the Mayor of Butt**** Idaho.

    Sounds like a proper ****wit.

Also Ausage, got nothing against Satanists. They serve a very useful purpose in winding up Christians into apoplexy.

IVF also has a very low rate of success iirc.

It's not "very low", just low. 40% for under 35.

Is that 40 % babies per attempt, or 40 % babies without congenital disease?

(Yes, yes, I know the parents have the right to make a baby if they can't do it in the bed or in the forest.)

I think they tend to be on average as healthy as normal babies because they only attempt to implant successful embryos.

Yeah, typically the big issue is getting through the first trimester without any problems. I've almost never heard of any health issues as a direct result of IVF. Usually, you'll have health effects due to the babies being born premature because they are fraternal twins from the IVF process. And the success rate for the process to take effect is improving every year as the medical community keeps coming up with better ways to improve the process.
