Some hopeful news in a world which feels like it's falling apart. Potentially has some cricket significance as well.

It would have been if Maduro didn't sell the country to drug cartels

Given ISIS's decline in recent years in terms of territory, active soldiers etc, does anyone think we'll ever see Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi again? A part of me thinks he would've been found by now if he ever will be found. I guess it's possible he could've attempted to blend into the population, but that seems unlikely to be successful given his notoriety. Being smuggled out is also a possibility, but where would he have ended up in that case? The obvious thing to wonder here is whether he's dead, which seems possible given the amount of times governments claimed to have killed him and his lack of confirmed communication in recent times. It's an interesting issue and an important one for Syria, Iraq and all sorts of other countries involved the region.

In a few years, he will be found, killed, and dropped into the ocean.
