I don't think that Reince Priebus' comment about the crowds at Trump rallies is that significant.

What is most significant in that previous RCP article is the fact that a key Republican power-broker is now sucking up to Donald Trump.

Not really, it was always bound to happen once Trump looked like he might win.

I don't think the polls are going to be absolutely reliable this year. I think a few Trump supporters might not come out and admit they are going to vote for him because the world keeps shaming them relentlessly. The data might be slightly off and he could actually do it if the Brexit was anything to go by. Hoping he doesn't win but won't be that surprised if he does end up winning.

I think this election is about choosing the lesser of two evils. Neither candidate is particularly well liked but I think the best thing to happen would be for Hillary to win, get hated and ridiculed and not be re-elected while a better opposition candidate is found in time for the next election.
I am proud of this post.

Agreed, if they were then Corbyn would be the overwhelming favourite to win the next election with the bookies and looking at the odds and polls he most certainly isn't.

Big rally attendances are almost definitely a bad thing in Britain, since we have lots of swing voters and self-identified centrists. The crucial Middle England demographic hates nothing more than a rabble rouser.

It might be different in the US, depends on the extent to which their elections are now decided on turnout. They certainly didn't hurt Obama. But the fact that there's a serious question over which way the correlation goes tells you a lot about people who point at large rally attendances for evidence that their candidate's going to win the election.

Credit where its due, this is very clever by Trump, he has been setting up the narrative that the system is against him when it comes to the debates for ages now, thus trying to minimise the fall out if he struggles as expected in the first two, its bollocks obviously but heh Trump is Trump.

this is just another reaction to the systematic erosion of the great american culture...see when society fails, these kind of emotions bubble up to the surface because of course everyone is a racist by nature, we are all just suppressing it at the best of times...that argument should get the lady cop out of trouble in this case...

    No it shouldn't.
