That's not what the discussion was about. Thank you for your random contribution.

It's not 1980. You could nominate a rusty bucket or an actual slug and it'd still be the same six states that decide the presidency.
i don't think that would be true if sanders is the nominee, i think trump will hold on to all the purple states he won last time and a fair number of the recently reliable blue states (colorado, virginia, even minnesota, new hampshire etc) will turn purple to start with and a significant portion of them will turn red, it may not be a 43/47 state landslide for trump but it will be a much bigger and more convincing electoral college victory for him compared to 2016...essentially a majority of americans would prefer a rusty bucket or a slug to someone who can and will be successfully smeared as a communist...

Douthat wrote a piece endorsing Bernie a few months ago tbf.

You can see how media is against Bernie though,,this narrative that if you add up all the other candidates on Tuesday they got more votes than Bernie,,ignoring the fact that politics is more complicated than that and for Biden plenty of his supporters have Bernie as their number 2.

Then the fake sexist shite aimed at Bernie which Warren started. He's also been accused of been weak on Russia by the Resistance grifters quite a bit which is also bollocks.

Bloomberg seems to be the target most in Trumps head at the moment. He'd have much better polling than all of us to make that decision

Tbf it's Trump. He targets anyone he wants and it'll be months before there is a clear frontrunner.

He's actually a self made man which must be why Trump feels the need to pick on his height. Plus he's viable if Biden continues to flounder.

He probably just hates Bloomberg on a personal level since they run in the same circles, rather than some targeted political strategy.
