I fear for Jacob Wohl I really do. There will come a time when Trump tweets and he may not be able to respond to it instantly and consistently and it will destroy him.

Kasich was one of those Republicans who is similar to Kenneth Clarke, those on the other side think he is one of the more sane people on the other side, but neither would have a hope of getting any sort of leadership role in the current era of there respective parties.

"If I had to vote for " etc

It's so freaking stupid. I don't see how it benefits anyone.

Netanyahu has Trump wrapped around his little finger

Something decidedly dodgy happening behind the scenes

Haha Rand Paul disappoints me regularly but I do think there'd be a difference between Senator Rand Paul trying to mitigate damage without losing his influence and President Paul who'd probably just veto everything he didn't like. He's been very consistent in opposing sanctions on Iran (even without the deal).

I don't even see how it benefits Israel. It just gives Hezbollah et al more credibility.

Israel is moving from a period of history where the feeling of existential dread they've had shifts that existential dread on to the groups that had previously threatened them.

Netanyahu (a massive Iraq War booster back in the day, because that worked out so well for Israel's security) being incredibly short sighted? Never would have thought

It’s a very weak expression of the culture argument imo. Lacks clarity about what exactly he’s asking and why, and it’s not clear what the practical consequences would be if he were correct. It’s also full of straw men and he uses some terrible examples.

Israel (and Saudi) has been the most aggressive country in the ME for years

Israel: has nukes, funds terror, bombs Palestine, breaches every UN agreement and ruled by a nut - war mongers

Iran: no nukes, funds terror, hasn't attacked anybody for decades, ruled by nuts with no popular support - sabre ratlers and backed by China who want their oil

Saudi: no nukes but will get them, funds terror, bombs Syria/Yemen, drove tanks into Bahrain, ruled by nuts - big threat

Yemen: no nukes, rabble of terrorists

Iraq: no nukes, decimated and locals believe that they were better off under Saddam

    Etc , etc

US and Israel know all of the above and then some but I spent 10 years working for the ruler of the UAE and know how they think

They don't hate the US but feel disrespected when a bunch of idiots (and that's what they are) tell them how to run their country

    Virtually everybody hates Saudi

They don't care about Israel and do lots of business with them

Most are very close to Iran as is India

US is treading a very fine line
