Funny how you don’t really think of how strange it is that the public accepts something until a random event suddenly makes it an issue. I heard the other day that the cane was only fully banned from Northern Irish schools in 2003.
Yeah, it's like how marital rape was not a thing until 1991 either. Really quite "wtf" when you think about it.

Anyway, RE: Kyle, good riddance to the ****. Hopefully his credibility is so utterly shot that he isn't able to get any further work.

Read some quotes from a judgment from a judge sitting on a case involving an assault that occurred whilst the show was filming earlier on:

"I have had the misfortune, very recently, of watching The Jeremy Kyle Show. It seems to me that the purpose of this show is to affect a morbid and depressing display of dysfunctional people whose lives are in turmoil"

"a plain disgrace which goes under the guise of entertainment"

"it should not surprise anyone that these people, some of whom have limited intellects, become aggressive with each other. This type of incident is exactly what the producers want. These self-righteous individuals should be in the dock with you. They pretend there is some kind of virtue in putting out a show like this."

Brilliant and 100% right. Love scathing and succinct judicial put-downs like this. One of the best things about law.

If it's found that the show played any part in the recent suicide then ITV and Kyle should be absolutely hammered for it.

May suggesting she’s likely to step down when her bill fails a 4th time in early June. Makes no-deal in October look pretty likely.

In the least shocking announcement of all time, May and Corbyn's talks turn out to have been a giant waste of time.

Not a complete waste of time - at least the pair of them kept a relatively low profile for a while

Yeah I actually managed to forget about the pair of them for a while. It was nice.

I mean when they both get obliterated in Europe next week that really should be time up. But they’ll both solider on blindly

The irony being that Vince Cable's lot will doubtless do extremely well again, but he will still be on his way

Not as well as Farage will though. Can see Brexit lot getting closer to 40% of votes than 30% as people will actually get out and vote for them purely as a protest.
