Pretty terrible because Corbyn himself is a moron.

Is it too late to call for a grand coalition for a particular kind of Brexit?

journalist was shot last night in NI, won't pretend to be an expert on her but briefly reading up on her seems a very impressive person.

If any good can come from that awful incident, it'll be a reminder to the dissidents that civilians get killed in wars. It sounds simplistic, but when you're shooting in a way which was described as indiscriminate, no **** a civilian will get hurt.

Stop legitimising the IRA by describing it as a war.

That comment confuses me quite a bit and frankly offends me. Firstly, how does referring to the conflict/armed actions as a "war" legitimise the IRA? Plenty of wars have illegitimate actors (ISIS for an obvious example) so I don't get you. Secondly, which IRA do you mean? That acronym usually refers to to the Provisional IRA, when this incident almost certainly didn't involve them given they disarmed in the 2000s. And lastly, and I don't know how you got this impression, but why do you think I was legitimising the IRA? I despise the groups which have taken that title, whether the Provos or otherwise. I can't state that clearly enough. If I've been a bit dis-passionate when taking about them, it's because I've studied them in the context of peace processes in which it's best as an outsider to stay unemotional in order to allow peace to prevail and not have an endless run of tit-for-tat revenge nonsense.

Itís ****ing bleak. Seems to be hitting people here really hard.

I think of dissidents as more pathetic than anything else. Thatís not really how I feel about other terrorist groups. Maybe the closer you get to these people in space and time, the more you realise how pathetic they are.

Well two teenagers have been arrested in connection with it. I'm not quite sure how to respond other than say that it's good that the investigation appears to be making progress. As a side note, it's borderline sad there are teens so behind the times that they think armed conflict is the way to go.

It's nothing sort of tragic that and 18 & 19 year old have got involved in this. And presumably they're only the tip of the iceberg, so I dread to think where this is heading.

Please donít have conversations under the assumption that theyíre guilty. Most dissident or troubles-legacy crimes nowadays are followed by quick, high-profile arrests a day or two later and a quiet release without charge Ďpending further investigationsí, which never comes to anything, soon after. The PSNI doesnít have the competence or community legitimacy to investigate these crimes properly, so they use this routine for PR. Itís 50-50 at best whether they had anything to do with it.

Not sure how exactly things work in the Creggan but we could see a more likely suspect turn up dead in an alley somewhere in the near future. Usually Iím frustrated by how willing people are to believe in the accuracy of paramilitary intelligence when it happens, but in this case itís a pretty solid bet that they know who killed her.

Diane Abbott drinking on a train is rather amusing. Shadow Home Secretary publicly breaking the law isn't a good look.
