Well, without quoting the text again, it could be reasonably inferred that he did.

They all said "Hallo," and felt awkward and unhappy suddenly, because it was a sort of good-bye they were saying, and they didn't want to think about it.

If one chose to ignore the literal meaning of the sentence, perhaps.

Any road up, that's all old news now. There are much more pressing issues at hand.
Why do you post like you have a lower class, try-hard bit part in a regency costume drama?

Because he aspires to be Lady Catherine de Bourgh imo.

I didn't know I did. That's just your interpretation and there's little enough evidence in favour of taking that seriously.

"Dim" is not expressing yourself clearly, old chap. If you still say that you did, then I am afraid you may be even dimmer.

I wonder if this is an example of the "kinder" politics promoted by Corbyn and which, no doubt, Starmer will wish to hold sway.

Ever the bloody showman, Boris would choose Easter to rise from the dead.

I've never been a fan tbh, but it's still good news.

    I suppose it is.

He gets better while at least some of the 900 plus people who died in the UK in the past 24 hours did so because he thought it was all a joke.

No, sadly, they all died because they became infected. No blame can be fairly attached to any UK politician for this. Any evidence for Johnson having thought the outbreak was a joke or is the claim simply politically motivated bluster?

There seems to be some dodgy polling around re the desirability of a government of national unity at the moment. It's difficult to see much value being added by the likes of Starmer, Dodds, Blackford and Davey. It's all probably just a subterfuge to get the Brexit transition extended, a continuation of the efforts to thwart democracy.

When he runs around downplaying it and saying hell keep acting as usual, shaking hand etc then yes.

He acted like a buffoon until it was too late. He did so primarily because he is one.
