    It would be relevant if Imran wasn't performing very well. The 2 series he played in the 1980s in England, he was the Man of the Series and had the best bowling average in both (cbf checking the 1987 series stats)

    I actually wouldn't have a problem if he had any consistent criteria which he evaluated players with and marked down Imran for it. It's his pathetic reasoning for elevating his favourites and pulling down other players (especially Imran) that is really grating.

    So, if everyone has to bat, then an ATG bowler who has good batting skills becomes extremely valuable. More so than a batsman who just turns his arm over, and definitely more so than a bowler who is equivalent in bowling but isn't able to hold a bat to save his life.

    The irony is that kyear2 keeps harping on about Imran's home umpires and other nonsense while conveniently ignoring that WI's stellar record of 15 years without a home loss came about because Imran was denied key wickets with atrocious umpiring.
