    2nd Semi Final - Australia v India (26th March)

Australia and India have played 14 matches at SCG in ODIs till now. Australia won 12 and India 1. Match loaded heavily in favour of Australia. Iam surprised that with the spinning pitches S CG produce usually, India weren't able to win beyond one game at SCG.

    2nd Quarter Final - India v Bangladesh (19th March)

Jono, go to SF and Finals also if India get there. You are the lucky charm for Team India.

    India WC Thread

Jadeja and Rohit possible weak links going into knockouts. Dhoni should play Binny and open the batting with him against BD. He could make the same runs as Rohit (15-20 per match against decent team), but also could provide cover if one of the spinners have off days.

Call me racist or whatever ...

Probably a solution would be to play 6 blaacks and 5 whiites in Zimbabwe team, so that competitiveness is maintained.

Final : India vs Sri Lanka

Sanga and Jaya already won ICC champions trophy in 2002, which was shared with India. So, its not like they never won any ICC trophy as made out to be.

Sachin Tendulkar Retires From ODI Cricket

Well done Master and Good decision by the "God of cricket". Wish him success in his next steps and test cricket. My favourite moments- 98 against PAK 2003 WC, his first match aganst NZ when he opened and smashed 80 odd, twin tons in sharjah 97-98, 200 against SA and his CB tri-series...

    ***Official*** England in India

Graham Gooch played test cricket for 22 years till the age of 42. Jayasuriya played one day cricket for 22 years till the age of 42. So Tendulkar is not that old in terms of age for international cricket.

    ***Official*** India in Australia 2011/12

According to cricinfo stats "In the last 49 years, no team has chased down a 200-plus target to win a Test at this ground". That sums it up for me. Australia all the way.

Australia - the aftermath of the Ashes

Absolutely right. A case in point is Anil Kumble's retirement because of few good matches for Amit Mishra. Look where Amit Mishra is right now. I always thought when Kumble exited he still had an year left in him. But he was forced to make the choice because of Amit's few good performances.

*Official* India in Sri Lanka 2010 - Tests

Outstanding stuff From Laxman, Tendulkar, Sehwag and Raina. Please take a bow. Winning a series or drawing a series in Srilanka is not a joke. It never happened in last 16 years of cricket. This is something special and good time to be an Indian test cricket fan.

*Official* India in Sri Lanka 2010 - Tests

Too much dependency on Tendulkar is not good for health. We saw what happened in first innings when we expected Tendulkar and Sehwag to give us a lead, by batting out a session on day 3. Anyways, iam expecting laxman to put some resistance and Dhoni to make a 20. Lanks to win this by 100...

    Rahul Dravid

What record of Gavaskar? He has already surpassed him in total test runs.

    Rahul Dravid

I think time is up for Dravid. After the south african tour, the cricket board should be able to make a call whether Dravid should stay or go. I prefer Dravid exiting gracefully rather than being dropped and picked on and off later like jayasuriya. Dravid has been poor for last 3 and half years...

    *Official* South Africa in India

ODI is almost ruined because of Twenty20. Its like watching 2 twenty twenty matches with almost same scoring rate as that. The ICC should seriously consider reducing the powerplays to only 5 overs instead of 20 overs to restore some sanity to the proceedings. The way its going, i would not...
