    Cricket Evolved

You're right to say ODIs are being overshadowed by Twenty20s, I get the feeling the authorities almost want this to happen with the way they marginalise the format with overlong World Cups and seven match series. The ODI format has its merits- it is better if the spectator wants a day out, and...

Have you done a tour of Lord's?

I have had the tour of Lord's. I can even remember the date, Tuesday 29th May 2007. A group of us went on a coach trip. The guide thought we were from Sussex and we had to tell him we were from the greatest of cricket counties, Norfolk! We couldn't go into the dressing rooms because...

    The Warm-Ups...

I have made a list of the warm-up matches being televised in the UK if anyone wants to know: Monday 1st June 2009 Australia vs Bangladesh at Trent Bridge, 1pm, Sky Sports 1/Sky Sports HD1. Ireland vs Holland at Lord's, 1pm, Sky Sports Interactive. Pakistan vs South Africa at Trent Bridge, 5pm...

    The Warm-Ups...

I will tune in to Australia against Bangladesh today, and Pakistan against South Africa. Firstly, I feel the first game will be more interesting than Ireland against Holland, and for the second game I am eager to see Pakistan play again. Both are at my favourite cricket ground of Trent Bridge.

Which is your preferred limited overs format?

At the ground, I prefer 50 over ODIs. Overall they are an entertaining form of cricket long enough to give value for money. In the middle overs I found the crowd busied themselves in other ways, singing songs and interacting with the players, and they were over before I knew it. I would prefer...

    Suggestions for my next international

I had a dry run of the Ashes test on Tuesday, I went to the ODI at Edgbaston. The ground is smaller than I thought it would be, but it was still a nice one and the atmosphere was great. I can see why Twenty20 finals day is there. I was sat in the Eric Hollies stand, one row in front of the...

    Suggestions for my next international

I haven't been on here for a while. At the end of last year I bought tickets for the first two days of the 3rd Ashes Test at Edgbaston. :)

The worst selections and non-selections in Test history

Why don't people understand Darren Pattinson is English? Born in Grimbsy, England, to English parents. He's about as Australian as Andy Symonds.

who should be kicked out of England ODI team?

I wouldn't give Shah the boot. The only bright spot in the Lord's thrashing, brilliant 49 in Durham. He's a good OD batsman and I'd like to see him in the Test side soon.

    **Official** New Zealand in England

David Lloyd has the right idea, he doesn't take Twenty20 as cricket, he takes it as pure entertainment, which is precisely what it is. I prefer Test cricket, but I enjoy Twenty20 too. People who think it is bad for cricket are wrong, it is revolutionising Test and ODI cricket, bringing new fans...

    **Official** New Zealand in England

This particular match has been the first Twenty20 International that has felt "serious" to me. Everyone wants to do well (in the England squad) to play in the Stanford 20-20 for 20.
