***Official*** Australia in South Africa 2018

This should be our squad for the South Africa tests: 1. Burns 2. Warner 3. Khawaja 4. Smith 5. S Marsh 6. Maxwell 7. Paine 8. Cummins 9. Starc 10. Lyon 11. Hazlewood 12. Handscomb 13. Bird A) This is the perfect time for Joe Burns to come back into the team. Both Bancroft and Renshaw...

    10th June - Group A - England v Australia

Australia should have selected Khawaja in the squad and played both him and Lynn today. As it stands, Finch is a flat track bully who will get found out by any movement in the air or off the pitch and the lineup is 1.5 specialist batsmen short. England should be able to scythe through this...

    All time best ODI team

Mark Waugh Adam Gilchrist + Ricky Ponting * Dean Jones Andrew Symonds Michael Bevan Michael Hussey Shane Warne Brett Lee Nathan Bracken Glenn McGrath 12th: Shane Watson Johnson is too sprayey with the ball to be in mine, Bracken was much more subtle and sly with his varieties and complement...

***Official*** 'When Will This Bloody Tour End?' T20 Thread

Yeah fine. But Phil Hughes had some gaping holes in his technique and still got a go. Other international players don't have perfect techniques either. To not even give him a go is pretty bad. Not sure how Khawaja got a go when he couldn't play spin bowling at all. That's a pretty big part of...

I haven't seen much of his FC batting live, but from ODIs and such he seems to play on the on side fine. About the others I'm not sure. What do you think?

Obviously people think he has a short ball weakness, not aware of any other weaknesses. In any case Hughes, Marsh, North et al all have weakness and at bare minimum they were given at least 1 chance to perform. Hussey was not even given 1 chance.

Averaged 50+ in FC cricket at a time when most domestic batsmen who were picked for Australia had long term averages of 35-40.

So I take it David Hussey must also have a ****ty personality which is why he was not picked for tests?

I don't understand it, where is the evidence for this? He almost averages 50 in FC cricket! Should've played the same number of tests as M. Hussey

***Official*** Australia in South Africa 2013/14

The stats are just bizarre. First class records of the two players: Shaun Marsh 85 FC matches averaging 35 with 8 centuries Phil Hughes 104 FC matches averaging 45 with 24 centuries! Hard to believe that Marsh has made 8 centuries in 13 years of playing first class cricket, not even...

***Official*** Australia in South Africa 2013/14

Just goes to show what we've already known for the past 7 years, form and class don't matter. To get into the Australian team as a batsman the only thing you need is connections and money. They should have just scrapped scorekeeping at the domestic level, no point really. Pick the winners based...

    *Official* Second ODI in Brisbane

If England are serious about winning games in 50 over cricket, then they need to be considering this one day team: Alex Hales Michael Lumb Ian Bell Gary Ballance Eoin Morgan Jos Buttler Ben Stokes Stuart Broad James Tredwell Chris Jordan James Anderson Spares: James Taylor, Steven Finn...

***Official*** Australia in South Africa 2013/14

Obviously I can't be for sure, but they are try to blood Maxwell for state cricket. If you look at the lineup they feel they've already got enough batsmen (Rogers, Maxwell, White, Wade, Handscomb, Quiney, Finch, Christian) to move long term with and feel that Hussey is just taking up a spot and...
