I play club cricket in New Delhi - I have faced both Ashish Nehra and Ishant Sharma (India u-19 fast bowler) in the nets......

No ....It's a question of what works well for Munaf. He has bowled very well in 7 of his last 8 games so I don't see why he has to change. At ODI level, pace isn't really that important - control matters far more, and Munaf has that the way he is bolwing in ODIs ate present.

Swap AA for Zaheer and that's pretty much the best team we can muster IMO. RAina and Jaffer should not be in the team - Pathan's more likely to score runs than either of the two. Zaheer's quite overrated IMV- a domestic bully but crap at this level. They really shoudl have picked VVS and...

Greatest field hockey player ever ?

Dhyan Chand ---- he is to hockey what Pele is to football, Babe Ruth to baseball and Bradman to cricket. Even Ric Chareslworth admitted Chand was the greatest player the world has ever seen. Chand's hockey stick wasd examined after his death to see if there were magnets inside it -- such was...

Therefore, Chanderpaul's record should be so much better than Sehwag's since 2001-2002 since he has also played in that time....but it isn't. There is negligible difference between Sehwag's performance at home and those away....Chanderpaul's drops by nearly seven when he plays away from home...

I'm not sure if Chanderpaul is in a different league to Sehwag as your are purporting. Sehwag has test hundreds (and decent records to boot) in Australia, England, South Africa, Pakistan and the West Indies largely as a test openerr

In the ODi's yes. But I think the 1-0 scoreline in the tests flattered the WEst Indies a bit. They would almost certainly lost the 2nd test had it not been for rain and only managed to stave off defeat in the first by the skin of their teeth. And remember, they were going into the tests after...

RAju saying that this could be Kaif's last chance is just plain dumb......if anything, it's a guy like Sehwag who needs to be on notice.

    India's form.

Sehwag and Pathan, I'd agree....they've been pretty disappointing of late. Harbhajan is probably India's best ODI bowler so yeah I'd think he'd pretty much play every game. Dhoni - can you name a better ODI option for India ? Patel - We'll have to see whether yesterday's game was a...

    India's form.

Personally I think India can post decent scores more often than not....if they organise their batting order properly. Buyt they really need a lot more discipline from their pace bowlers in tetrms of bowling adecent line ad length.....they really made Australia's job fairly easy in chasing down...

Group A - India, England, Australia, West Indies

Yeah I agree especially when you consider the Aussies wre always far more likely to have problems agianst spin than our pace... Mongia only went for 4 an over...Harbhajan was more expensive today but still under 5 an over.......Powar should have played IMO. However, I still think the Assies...

    India's form.

    1) Stop mucking around with the batting order..... something like Tendulkar Sehwag/Gambhir Kaif Yuvraj Dravid Dhoni Pathan/Mongia (should be the top 6 imo).....slot Kaif in at 3 where I think he would be most useful.... 2) Get a bowling coach - someone to work with the pace bowlers -...

Group A - India, England, Australia, West Indies

So you're advocating something like: Tendulkar Sehwag Kaif Dravid Mongia Dhoni Raina Pathan Harbhajan Sreesanth Munaf Yeah I suppose that's not too bad an option with Mongia's left arm spin providing ten overs.....although tbh, I'd prefer to see Powar ahead of Raina. Raina hasn't been...

Zaheer Khan is a rubbish test match bowler....I only picked him due to the fact India don't have any other options.
