If McCullum had taken the catch it would have put the pressure right back on Australia and then Patel could have bowled to a new batsman. Right now the game is slipping away from NZ. They really needed a bit more luck in those first 10-12 overs when they were bowling so well and could have easily had 4 wickets.

Yeah I agree - NMcCullum is a better batsman and I think is more confident all round. So in this situation would have been a better choice.

McCullum dropped the cup when he let Franklin bowl.

And Oram would normally be at the other end bowling tight overs as opposed to sending down short 125kms pies on legstump like Franklin
