Its simple! NZ is an injury away from clinching this trophy
Broom to score 200 and never play again maybe.

Hey McCullum now that Vettori is out winning this match pretty much depends on how you start this innings. No pressure though.

Chased down 300 only a couple of weeks back, so not like we can't do it if that happens. Different circumstances, but still...

Hmm considering it's a final it must be one of the most one-sided ever in terms of odds. Can't be too many teams in the past who were a 1.33 favourite before a ball is bowled.

Athlai, isn't Patel in for Vettori a like for like replacement.

I'm not going to be confident chasing any total tbh.

Didn't face the might of Ve...Jeets.

Reckon he'll do fine tbh. Obviously our bowling really depends on the wicket taking ability of Bond, Mills and Butler.

Need at the very very very least 260.

To win we need 400.

Hopefully we'll find something in between that.

That middle order still looks a bit fragile for me. No one really had too much of a hit this tourney apart from Hussey probably. That's when ponting's wicket is crucial. Not saying Australia can't do it, they surely will have the upperhand. All that matters only if NZ get 300, otherwise

Just lose a lot with Dan gone, been great with the bat and the ball. With him out pressure is on Franklin with both bat and ball, as well as Broom (with bat) and Patel (with ball).

Can they fill Dan's boots?

We've never lost with 300 under our belt, would make it a cracker. To get that far McCullum, Guptill or Taylor will have to do something special.

Patel isn't a bad bat either, not a vettori but a good enough for a quick 20.

We already have a competent tail in terms of lower order guys who can hit a boundary. We'll miss the guy who can come in at 6 most of all.

Positive signs indeed. Last time they won a trophy - Dan didn't play.

So sick. Can't believe we don't have Vettori for this game. Massive effort needed from the side.
