I think they mean that he injured himself. He wasn't hit or anything.

Still harsh, though.

Would Manjrekar be saying that about Tendulkar?

Smart stuff this from Ryder. Sri Lanka has not opted to take the powerplay, so he milks the singles.

Loving it at the moment tbh.

With Ryder going like this, I would have been tempted to make the most of it and use the batting powerplay.

Yeah, was wondering why they wouldn't do it now.

Shame the same thing can't be said about our batting lineup.
I'd say the batting lineup's strong too, it's just been badly out of form for ages. If you had McCullum, Ryder and Taylor all firing you couldn't complain too much.

They also have that "let's bat defensively in ODIs for no reason" tactic atm.

Did Sri Lanka DROP Murali? Never thought I'd see the day.

He volunteered to be dropped, apparently. It shows what an amazing guy he is, according to Kumar. They should have said "STFU, you're playing", but seemingly not.

No wickets down, 100 on the board. NZ look like they can win this one.

This has easily been the greatest opening century stand I have ever seen.

Gutted. Still, a brave knock. Looked in extreme pain a hell of a lot of the time.

Is it just me or is Chappelli a member of the Kulasekera fan club with me and PEWS?

Quit arsing around McCullum. Should never be scoring so slowly at 126/1. Should never have been scoring so slowly at 100/0.

Is Sanjay Manjrekar stupid?

FFS, if 40 overs are up and two powerplays are still to go, it stands to reason that the fielding captain has to have 3 players out for the remainder of the innings anyway.

Idiot.
