Prayer Thread: Get well by Sunday Munaf (all Indian fans show your support)

This is the thread over here to show your whole hearted support to Munaf so that he can get better by sunday. This is our only way to get Munaf ready by Sunday, and all our chances of winning against Australia depend on his health. I know it's silly but, trust me you'll be thanking me when we reach the semis.

Who cares about one dayers? Rest him, the SA series is in a month.

adharcric 27-10-2006 02:31 PM

I really want him to play but I'm with SS in regard to saving him for the upcoming tour of South Africa. If this was the World Cup, it would be a different story. If he's fit, that'll be great. Otherwise, give RP Singh his last chance. If he can rattle the Aussie top-order, he stays in the side. If he fails, bring back Zaheer and send RPS back to the A team. Quite simple really.

Dravid 27-10-2006 09:41 PM

In the paper this morning it says hes fit and he will play....

maxpower 27-10-2006 11:33 PM

any other team in a time like this, and players on bench would take this opportunity to make their mark and storm into the team. None like that can't be expected from IND.

But he's fit....

However it also said that Agarkar is being dropped for Sreesanth.

Jono 27-10-2006 11:57 PM

Not 'dropped', Agarkar is injured. Will be out for a while.

Turbinator 28-10-2006 08:10 AM

Yes so that means both Sreesanth and Munaf in the match against the Aussies!?

Most likely.

Turbinator 28-10-2006 08:15 AM

Oh great Yuvraj ruled out, due to knee injury!!

irfan 28-10-2006 08:19 AM

Here's the lineup I'd like to have against the aussies

1. Sachin
2. Sehwag (usually comes good against the bigger teams - well here's to hoping)
3. Raina (give him a chance up the top - good runner between wickets and usually innovative)
4. Dravid
5. Mongia (been in good touch)
6. Dhoni
7. Pathan
8. Powar (badly missed against WI)
9. Harbhajan
10. Sreesanth
11. Munaf

thoughts ?

Dravid 28-10-2006 08:52 AM

Now that Yuvraj is out Raina could well stay in the line-up for tomorrow.

Jono 28-10-2006 09:18 AM

Whoever prayed made it worse. Someone's pissed off the higher power :p

With yuvraj gone, that would appear to be the best possible side. I suspect they may prefer Kaif to Mongia though.
