To me, the key will be how Franklin bowls...he's gotta get it right or else all the hard work will come undone pretty quickly.

Mills is bowling so well. Expecting Ponting and Martyn to play it slow and set themselves in for a long innings.

Bond is a bit unlucky...but the batsmen will need a bit of luck I think early on this pitch.

2/36 after 10.

Without the extras, that would look alot worse. This tournament would have to have the record for the most extras. NZ, though, looking so good. Fleming is a top captain.

We really need to watch these extras. Can't afford to give so many runs away to a team like Australia through wides and no-balls.

Is Bond really bowling as wayward as he looks to be in the livescoring? Great start particularly from Mills but ugh, as everyone's already said, wides and no balls aplenty. Headline for CricketWeb if they continue to keep them coming: "Extras, extras, read all about them."

Bond was actually making the ball swing a lot. Most of the extras from bonds were due to huge swing or bounce causing the ball to go wide of the batsman

Good rebuilding partnership 22 & 23 from Ponting and Martyn.

2/63 after 16.
14 extras already.

I thought a couple were slightly harsh calls by Bucknor, they were on the off side, which usually results in a bit more leniency. As long as he's consistent it's not a problem though.
