Smith gone, 58/7 and Maharoof gets another wicket. 5 overs, 2 maidens, 7 runs and 4 wickets. Beautiful spell, looks a very good ODI prospect.

Maharoof gets a 5 wicket haul by snaring Carlton Baugh LBW, been a great spell by the Sri Lankan. Let's hope he can wrap up the innings quickly by rolling Edwards and Collymore. I'm sure Jayasuriya will be relishing the opportunity to thrash the ball around for a little bit.
lol this bangla or the windies.
it looks like the windies have done their job and quaified to the main comp and they forgot to turn up here, there minds are already on next week.

Sounds like something that would happen to the West Indies, no disrespect intended. You can't help thinking that sometimes they just aren't mentally prepared.
Hinds gone for a fighting 28, caught by Jayasuriya off that man Maharoof. 6 wickets now as the West Indies crash to 67/9.

Beware the evils of Kit-Kats - they're immoral apparently.
They will lose the momentum they got through their wins over Bangladesh and Zimbabwe, and they will go in with a losing mentality after this very likely loss.Originally Posted by marc71178

I say cus the other group is easier and with a team like the Windies it all about confidence. Being rolled for under 100 isn't going to help them much in that department. But if they feel they done their job and they rather be in that group, they are doing a very good effort to make sure they get into it.Originally Posted by marc71178
But are the West Indies good enough to do that? Especially with quite a young team and the manner of this defeat pretty damn convincing.Originally Posted by alternative
Maharoof going off.

Well that’s not the West Indies then. Quality teams do not get rolled out this easily, yeah sure you might lose a game here and there but this performance is nothing more than an embarrassment. They were already gone before Sri Lanka’s best bowler had even appeared.Originally Posted by alternative
