And Kabir has 29 @ 26.58 in 5 less matches. Does it make him good?

Another Mickey Mouse Durham lad.

At least Kabir Ali has been shown the door, expect to see him back for the WC.

Surprised to see no James Benning, also when we the selectors finally axe Vikram Solanki for good?

I think that Mr. Solanki is being kept in the squad purely because of his fielding ability. It's not like he does much with the bat.

From the limited amount I've seen: Bresnan, not very; Broad, raw & not the finished article, but has height & bounce; Yardy, steady bat, useful part time SLA, kind of player Big Dunc likes.

No, he's more of a proper batter who turns his arm over a la Dalrymple or Colly. I think he's one of Big Dunc's "feeling" players, because his career stats (especially bowling) are fairly modest, but when I saw him bowl he looked a lot better than they suggest.

Yeah, he's the one. Bowls very much like Jayasuriya - flat, left-arm darts that are difficult to get away. Has a hugely exaggerated trigger movement across the stumps à la Lara when batting.
