Contradicted yourself there. Fleming is not the most talented of players, but applies himself well and is a very strong captain.

No not a contradiction what so ever. A good cricketer that can apply himself mentally and physically will turn this 80's and 90's into 100's and not continually have a brain explosion when he gets close. He is a good captian no doubt about that, but he lacks in a few area's that will never make him a great.

He will be forgotten when he retires.

You said there is nothing good about Fleming, then went on to talk about his large amount of 50s and now his good captaincy. Contradiction.

Great, extremely special cricketers will consistently turn their 80 and 90 scores into 100s. Fleming isn`t one of these, and isn`t even very naturally gifted compared to some, but works hard for a decent score.

Hendrik Human out, was just going to say don't expect him to stay around. Nothing like the conditions he likes.

Not surprised Mills is bowling well, was New Zealand’s best bowler in the test series between the two sides.

There is nothing good about Fleming. Have scored more than fifty 50's and only converted 6 of those, sign of a average batsmen with limited mental strenght.
That's not a bad conversion rate for ODIs - not much worse than many other very good ODI players (Inzy for one has a worse conversion rate)...sure, he has problems converting 50s into 100s at Test level, but he's pretty good in ODIs.

Bad start for SA - and NZ may well prove what I thought about England right - you can defend a 170-200 total but not 125. At least Fleming gave NZ something to defend(but for him they'd have been as bad as England).

Fleming is a very, very fine player and definitely one of NZ's best ever
