Pollock now bowled out (excellent spell). Be interesting to see how Smith plays this from here. Considering Kallis might not be able to bowl.

Andre Nel relieving the pressure, really poor bowling so far from Nel and his was fortunate with his wicket, brain lapse from Marvan.

Kallis on now, looks ok.

Jono

Virat Kohli (c)
Kallis gets Maharoof.

You know, SA might get a massive boost in their NRR, and obviously SL's will be hurt. That could also be vital in seeing who qualifies.

Unbelievable how this group is panning out.

Dilshan out. Peterson a specialist number 9? Doesn't look like he is going to get a bowl. Kallis must have eyed off an average booster after SL poor start...

This loss will pretty much put SL out of the running leaving New Zealand, Pakistan and South Africa to scrap it out. If it comes down to run rates, New Zealand is currently at about .4, Pakistan at .2 and this win will put South Africa somewhere around 0. Any bets?

i'll be extremely suprised if Sri lanka are going through now! Poor performance with the bat. Perhaps all the talk abt them being favorites got to their head. Anyway...it is cricket, so u never now. SL might go throgh on net run rate or something!

Apparently Sri Lanka can still qualify(very slim chance), if Pakistan to win all their games, in that case Pak will win the group and 2nd team will be decided on run rate.

Don't write of these old legends, Pollock showing that he can still cut it at this level, although he has always bowled well in ODI's even though his test form as been woeful over the past few years.

Helluva performance by SA, so now for whichever version of Pakistan turn up. You have to fancy SA for that one now, with them & NZ progressing to the semi's.

would like to see Pakistan play Arafat 2moro, i think the bloke is a very good all-rounder in the making.
