Secondly. Ranking the champions of each section of cricket is stupid. Calling the T20 champion the World T20 champions is good. So is calling the WC winners the ODI World Champions; but just call the test champions the test champion. Calling them the Grand Champions and ranking the tournaments 1. 2. 3. Is both stupid and pointless.
Other than that, you're spot on in my view.

What's the point? the things you said are going happen eventually and already happening any ways except the test crowning probably/

And? Its irrelevant, they have to prove a challenge consistently. Not saying they have to win all the time, but the full member countries have to be challenged. And no, Zimbabwe and Bangladesh, though officially full member countries, really aren't.

No....If they were proving to be a challenge consistently they should be geting test status because if they are challengeing than that means they are competing at the same level but see the minnows cant prove to be a challange so often so they aren't going get test status untill they are but doesnt mean they can't cause an upset and beat a top level team. because that what you guys been saying upsets like a associates beating a top level team doesn't happen in cricket well it does and in 20/20 it would happen more

Funny how that list is actually counter-productive for the purposes you meant it for, since it shows the team's you're trying to defend are the ones losing to the minnows

It's also an inaccurate list as well, the Netherlands didn't beat England.

They actually did, I remember it well. The England team was captained by Peter Roebuck, whether the match has official One-Day International status I'm not sure.....I should look it up really but I can't be bothered as this thread is such utter "£"£!&.

No, it was an "England XI" - nothing like the England side of the time - especially since the Ashes were going on at that time:

Roebuck
Stephenson
Bailey
Stewart
Hussain
Capel
Watkinson
Pringle
Medlycott
Base
Thomas

But they are showing that they're still poor sides, after several years as a full member, which doesn't really increase the argument for more sides being promoted to be thrashed by the bigger nations.

It's like listing the times Minor Counties have rolled FC opposition in the Trophy, and calling for us to enter the Championship based on that.

Actually, is there a list anywhere of Minor Counties rolling Associate members?

But they also did beat bigger teams- bangladesh beat aus last year sri lanka is doing pretty good and they beat aus in the 96 world cup so they are going to learn from getting thrashed and eventually be a good consistent team...a baby falls hundred times before walking and same here they're going to fall hundred times to the bigger team, but if you dont let them over come the hard ship but not letting them try well then a baby wouldn't be walking they would still be crawling. this is the time where bangladesh and zimbabwe learned how to stand up and walk a lil bit..they are past crawling and they almost got it but still got way to go....they are falling and getting up...they are in between crawling and walking

So why should we have any more sides crawling (or rather not even reaching the crawling stage) then?

because this is like the baby boom and more countries are being introduced to cricket(or are given time/attention than before)

More countries are being introduced yes, but they're doing precisely nothing to justify their introduction.

Ah yes there people in china now actually know about the time(atleast some) and children are playing this game which is very foriegn to them...they as a nation is willing to learn this sport or atleast give it a chance...you have to wait for progress...a baby cant walk or talk the day after they were born..they are going to crawl and and make noise before walking and talking....give them time...
