Absolutely. If the keeper comes up to the stumps, most fast bowler's first thought is 'I'm going to put it through that ****er!".

Although if that was possible, they wouldn't be up at the stumps.

Unfortunately the umpires are powerless. Anytime an umpire attempts to take action they are criticised by the offending team and undermined by the various countries boards of management.
Attempts to play longer to get the overs have resulted everydays play being streched out to the available time.
Unfortunately there have been no penalties suggested that dont change the innate nature of the game, to make more runs than scored by the opposition.
Fines havent worked. Suspending offending captains may be a step in the right direction
But until team managements stop using the over rate as a tactic, we will continue to sadly complain.

Whoever started this thread should be infracted. 0/10 effort put into the title. It's borderline disrespectful for a series and a match of this stature. Glad someone else is annoyed by it too.

Given the stature of the 2 teams playing, it should've just been called '#3'.

I.e.: when you do a poo and a pee at the same time.

reckon india don’t have enough runs scored by top four to match england here and there’s a big burden in the middle order but i’d love to be wrong here

Add additional runs to the batting side. Ten runs per over not bowled.
