International Captain

Andrew McGlashan in this Cricinfo article says "Where does he stand in an all-time Australia fast bowler's list? If Dennis Lillee and Glenn McGrath jostle for the top two, a case can easily be made (for Mitchell Starc) to be among the top five.

Really? Easily?

Australian fast bowling tradition is too rich for an easy top 5 spot considering the top two positions are already locked, probably forever.

Starc top 5 is a joke. Embarrassing statement
He's generally been the third best fast bowler in the team he's playing in. He just gets extra plaudits for being left arm. If he had the exact same figures, but was right arm, people would put him more on a level with the likes of McDermott.

Poll needs more Johnston.
Preach
It's because he's got a milestone coming up. Puts him in the spotlight, like when Jimmy Anderson was reaching milestones.

Like they're good bowlers but not top 5 or top 10
Its one of the most annoying things I find in cricket/sports in general. Yes, celebrate a player’s career when they have a milestone or whatever but don’t idolize them for no reason.
It's a pretty concrete top 5, unless someone rates Spofforth very highly
Apparently one voter disagrees. But votes aren’t public, so we’ll never know.
