Across tests and LOIs, who is the top big match/clutch player? The one likely to raise his game in key moments of crucial tests and LOI knockouts.

Maybe Bevan.

"Clutch player" doesn't mean what everyone seems to think it means. For example:
Basically a high stakes, high pressure situation.

In tests, think of an Ashes decider or opening game, or a tight chase or coming from behind.

My top six:

6. Stokes for his super innings in WCs and Ashes, but needs more output in tests away from home to go higher.

5. Gilly, great WC final performances plus a bunch of test knocks in critical situations.

4. The Waugh bros, hard to separate, in tests pretty much most of their top innings fit this criteria. Not as many in LOIs though but still a few.

3. Warne, he always seemed to raise his game the more the situation seemed desperate. Great semi performances.

2. McGrath, his best performances in tests have come in high profile series such as WI 95, Lord 2005, etc. In WCs, it's similar, his 5fer against WI in 99 turned Australia's form around, then he took Tendulkar's wicket to end the match in 2003, and then was a star in 2007 towards the end.

1. Viv, tests his peak coincided with high profile series against the world's best, and towards the end of his career he had key knocks in 87/88 against India and Pakistan when WIs unbeaten reign was threatened. In WCs and tournament finals, he has a terrific record.
