You can vote for 2 players if you feel 2 players are extremely close.

Restricting this exercise to players who have played atleast 2 Formats

For Test + ODI players assume weightage of 65:35 for Test : ODI

For Test + ODI + T20 players assume weightage of 50:30:20 for Test:ODI:T20

This is a very hard question. 5 top candidates are Tendulkar, Viv Richards, Imran, Murali and McGrath. Ranking them on all formats is terribly hard.

In tests, I go:
Imran > Murali > Tendulkar > Viv Richards > McGrath

In ODIs, I go:
Viv Richards > Tendulkar > Murali > McGrath > Imran

Let's give 5 point for rank 1 and down to point 1 for 5th rank. With 3:2 weightage it comes to:

Imran: 17
Tendulkar: 17
Viv Richards: 16
Murali: 18
McGrath: 7

So it's Murali plus one of Imran and Tendulkar. I'd pick one with higher test ranking for 2nd spot. So it's Murali and Imran. This is too arbitrary but I'll vote with this.

Yep, Hadlee's ODI bowing record is equally as insane as his Test & miles better than Imran's.

Should be in this conversation, and a much better all-format player than Smith.

I'm gonna throw down for Gilly.

Changed the expectations of the keeper bat in tests forever and also built upon the opener hitter role in odis while also keeping and allowing greater flexibility in team structure.

My boy Braddles. Even if he averaged 35 (SR 75) in ODIs and 20 (SR 115) in T20Is it would still be him.

I heard Bradman played a one dayer in Adelaide for his 70th birthday so I picked him.
Add G A Sobers who famously played the sole ODI with a career bowling ER of 2.95 to go along with his batting AVE of 0.
