Wait Spencer Johnson has went to the Heat?

Hope that he A) finally actually gets a game years after he first popped up in a Strikers squad and B) doesn't end up breaking down again

The latter definitely explains the former here

Thank you for your service Starfighter. That's a big effort.

I believe Steve Smith will be playing the BBL post-SA tests which will be fun.

Interested to see if Boult lives up to the hype in tomorrow's opener.
Didn't even know he was in the tourney lol. He's playing for the Stars so that guarantees some measure of underperformance, though not as much as if he were playing for the Heat.

Boult has a good record in white-ball internationals in Australia (10 wickets @ 16.2 from six T20Is, 17 wickets @ 21.17 from eight ODIs), so I'm cautiously optimistic about his prospects here.

May find himself doing a bit of batting with that Stars line-up, though!

International Captain
Sixers to get the prize this year due to rogan Josh Philippe being top run scorer and Sean Abbott producing some great all round performances.

Hopefully can see promising talents like A.Finch and J.Burns really showcasing their ability in this format, and as potential test-calibre cricketers in the near future

Can't wait for this to start. The premier T20 domestic competition in the world played on the best grounds with the biggest stars in the greatest country on earth, this wide brown land Australia.

I do unashamedly love the BBL (even though it seems to have deteriorated a bit in crowd attendance and quality in recent times). The timing of the games suits me so much better than any of the other overseas leagues.

There is a 0% chance of the 5:05 game on Friday ending in time the for 8:15 game, same with most other combinations.

Anyway, I am glad that thanks to them wanting to put it during the 'no internationals' period in January, we are not starting off with a Sydney derby this time.
