If anything it reinforces the widely held view that the England coaching staff is weak as piss; has no leadership qualities or any interest in instilling resilience, and is too weak to actually steer the team in a desired direction as opposed to being ruled by the whims of the players

No way you can argue with a straight face that what England had to put up with anything near as filled with setbacks as what India had to put up with a year earlier, or Pakistan in the last decade

The lack of preparation was really bad tbf, but they were still really bad even after being there a couple weeks.

There is definite exaggeration there in what Colly has said but I also dont think it is baseless or anything. They are very real issues.
no one has denied covid bubble issues but collingwood attributing the crushing defeat mainly to that and wilfully ignoring recent ashes history down under and the "house of cards" nature of the english batting lineup wherever they have played in the last year or so is what makes his comments a load of crap. no one (including diehard english fans) was surprised by england's capitulation...and the covid bubble didn't figure prominently in the list of reasons why...
