Is Copperfield pretty much just a specialist bat these days?
Yeah his knee is cooked mate, unfortunately. Only bowled in a couple of games last year and I think he's picked exclusively as a batsman for the foreseeable future. Shame bloke bowled genuine gas. Parra is very light on for bowlers in ones.Is Copperfield pretty much just a specialist bat these days?
Unfortunate that, I liked what I saw. At least he is still around the club I guessYeah his knee is cooked mate, unfortunately. What about AFL players? Two solid indigenous players have hyphenated names (Petrevski-Seaton and Powell-Pepper).Not a fan of Aussie cricketers having hyphenated names. Bad look and not representative of the people. Can basically put a line though them.
If they play 5 bowlers they'll 100% pick hardie, don't need one of the rookies. Still not a great idea but agar/hardie at 7/8 is passable.Interesting that WA are pretty much signalling their intention to go in with five bowlers, Agar at 7. Effectively that means Turner, Cartwright and Short are competing for one middle order spot.
Not sure thats the right call, not sure going all NSW with 5 bowlers* is really nessecary, especially considering the 5th bowler would likely be Moody or a rookie.
*Although I wouldn't exactly call what Gannon does bowling, that's a subject for another day
Ahh thats right, Hardie made a ton at the back end of last season, feels like an eternity ago now.S

Been following this, I suspect you are right and it will be Katich. Which means the season I think was easily the very best probably won't show up on the list at allI've only been paying the lightest of attention to this 30 best shield seasons thing, but I assume Katich is one, since I can't spot him elsewhere in the top 10. don't know how you can have above Bevan, unless you're placing a lot of weight on a final appearance
edit but also miller should be one just for the insanity of it all

Go and grab a pick-up XI from the back streets of Matraville for the upcoming test series vs India, they'll still win - Adelaide D/N bookending it with Brisbane in January. be surprised if India ends up touring tbh.![]()
Australia vs India Test series to start with pink-ball game in Adelaide

Good read on Funky Miller though. Such a weird cat. Don't see many characters like that in these days of ultra-professionalism.Been following this, I suspect you are right and it will be Katich. Which means the season I think was easily the very best probably won't show up on the list at all
