the dirty cheats were always dirty cheats before the dirty cheat test

gavaskar doesn't know any better. you see this everywhere in indian male culture. they are violently insecure, a trait they share with the other inferior men like the australians, so any threat to them must be belittled or lashed out at. gavaskar was intimidated by the crowds but lacked the mana to confront them like a man should, so he wrote some words in a book years later when he was safely out of danger.

of course, if you force the indian male into a corner, he will lash out defensively as we see with harbhajan singh in an airport when staff asked him to clean his shoes. of course i have to be fair, harbhajan cannot be expected to show some spine when his skipper was terrified of grass and spent most press conferences ranting that grass is an unfair surface to play cricket on.

moving back to the australians, i think it's fairly obvious the reason they are so good at fast bowling is because some misguided souls feel the need to become alpha males to protect their beta male friends in the side they feel sorry for. the australian batsman understands his home conditions, but is confounded by the moving or spinning ball. his reaction to this is to chat it up because cricket is a non contact sport, but as the stopped clock gavaskar almost observed correctly, an alpha male might make it a contact sport.

so the alphas in australia learned to bowl fast and protect their friends, and the unfortunate side effect is this has only made them chattier. it would be kinder for the alpha quicks to let nature run its course.

i think it is fairly obvious that had brad haddin chosen to applaud jesse ryder from the field instead of martin guptill, brad haddin would have been celebrating the success of mitchell starc that evening in the intensive care unit on life support. if michael clarke had threatened to break roy gilchrists arm, he would be dead.
plenty of truth to this tbf

clarke wouldn't have the balls. he was the ponce hiding behind the bully dishing out the chat to the kids who couldn't defend themselves (england).

you could say australia were fostering toxic masculinity.
The Clarke broken-arm comment is often taken out of context. It was as warranted a piece of sledging as I've ever seen, and it's not like he was picking on a poor young kid. Anderson deserved every bit of that and worse in that moment (the sledge, not an actual broken arm)

I think everyone knows that the real cheats here are players/teams from the subcontinent
we accept it from them though, because it's necessary to make them somewhat competitive. Without ball-tampering, pitch doctoring, cheating home umpires etc. they would probably have lost Test status decades ago.

Hmmm, fair enough on reflection. I guess we should accept the racism from there as well. You know Gavaskar's "poor choice of words." Or the crowds that got up Symonds with their poor choice of animal sounds.

Please, if anyone in the cricketing world deserves to cop it it's Jimmy. Loves to dish it out but will always have a sulk when copping something back, he is and always had been a sniveling little turd

Yeah I know. Funny watching a John Bull Kiwi, who also hates nationalism, losing his **** over a miserable pom over something that happened years ago because he can't accept his inferiority complex wrt Australia.

you raise some interesting moral questions, which is unusual for australians. james anderson is english, and being english his genetics prevent him from being a better man. their natural state is being poor yet natural losers, dishing it out when they're on top and rewriting history to glorify themselves.

their awareness of their own inferiority actually inspired them to send their best to new zealand where it was hoped they would produce better men if removed from the dreary isles. initially they carried on as their inferior selves during the past we pakeha need to speak more of rather than pretending it never happened but eventually with successive generations they of course succeeded beyond their wildest dreams in transforming men from englishmen to real human beings.

back to our issue at hand, is it moral to denigrate and threaten injury upon men like james anderson who are incapable of understanding their own inferiority? i wouldn't expect an australian batsman to provide an answer to this question, because they are simple men who act on base instinct, but it is good to see our west island posters accidentally hit upon such questions. you're actually showing character development and depth. you might become real people soon with complex personalities and comprehension and everything.

i think it is quite clear australia were cheating at least all series.
On this, Broad gave a great presser during the concurrent NZ-England series where he played dumb - through a ****-eating grin - about why Australia would resort to sandpaper now when they'd had the ball reversing all Ashes series anyway. Obviously there's a great irony in it being Broad given the rumours that have circulated around him and Jimmy for years (and '05, I suppose), but it was still pretty funny.

Haha yes I've never seen a player enjoy a presser that much

Also can we please, please cut out the tired nationalistic pseudo-trolling where everyone knows that it's rancid bait and uses it to justify their own tired nationalistic counter-trolling?

That cuts out half the forum. Closer to three quarters now that there's no cricket on.

It says Global Moderator under your moniker. I take that mean that out of any of us its you who can do something about the thread. I mean what's its redeeming features? How is it going to better than the ****witted small dick syndrome kiwis have about Australia? Started by someone who is probably more on the piss than taking it too I'd guess. I think the Australia cheats but everyone else is pure outrage thread has been done enough. Just take it outside and shoot the thing in the head.
