Last Man Standing: 2013 AFL Season

Riggins

International Captain
Am I allowed to change my pick, or does it lock at the start of the round?

i feel like i shouldn't say this out loud around benchmark, but i actually think the brayshaw's are going to get up.

You can change until the game featuring the team you've tipped starts.

Return for Twenty Thirteen

Back like a heart-attack, charlies!

Just under a fortnight until the main business starts with another of those ghey split weekend dealies but nice to get a jump on things to help maximise our revenue streams or somesuch crap.

Brief recap for newbs & the mentally infirm: pick a team each week and if they win you're through; they lose or draw tho & you're out like Celtic band tattoos. Teams can only be used once in each running and, you can only tip against the team that's on the bottom of the AFL table at the start of the round once in any running (the team will be marked in the fixture list with asterisk). As GWS crowned their maiden season with a shiny wooden spoon, they're our opening nominal bottom dwellers.

Round 1

Adelaide vs. Essendon (Football Park)
Fremantle vs. West Coast (Subiaco)
Carlton vs. Richmond (MCG)
Western Bulldogs vs. Brisbane Lions (Docklands)
Greater Western Sydney* vs. Sydney (Stadium Australia)
Gold Coast vs. St Kilda (Carrara)
Melbourne vs. Port Adelaide (MCG)
North Melbourne vs. Collingwood (Docklands)
Hawthorn vs. Geelong (MCG)

All welcome, etc.

My fault entirely, but I'd completely forgotten about our midseason rule tweak from 2012:

Think that's carried then. Ok, only one tip against one of the bottom two in any one running it is.

So, to clarify, Teams can only be used once in each running and you can only tip against the teams that're in the bottom two of the table at the start of the round once in any running (the team will be marked in the fixture list with asterisk).

GWS were bottom in 2012 & the Gold Coast one above them, so they're our opening nominal bottom dwellers.

Round 1

Adelaide vs. Essendon (Football Park)
Fremantle vs. West Coast (Subiaco)
Carlton vs. Richmond (MCG)
Western Bulldogs vs. Brisbane Lions (Docklands)
Greater Western Sydney* vs. Sydney (Stadium Australia)
Gold Coast* vs. St Kilda (Carrara)
Melbourne vs. Port Adelaide (MCG)
North Melbourne vs. Collingwood (Docklands)
Hawthorn vs. Geelong (MCG)

If benchy wants to change his tip in light of this, he's obviously more than welcome, etc.
