What should I ask Brad Hodge, David Warner or Northern Districts?

Very good chance I will be interviewing Hodge, Warner or the other ND guys tomorrow. I can't guarantee I will ask them all your suggestions but are there any things you think I should ask?

To Warner, a lot was made while you were at the Academy and in youth teams about your ability to reverse sweep and switch hit. Has there been a specific reason why we've seen few of those shots at State and National level in the shortest form?

Also, ask Hodge about the new format in Australian One Day cricket, in the Ryobi Cup. He might be more willing to give an honest answer over in New Zealand rather than in Australia.

Ask Hodge, why he quit FC cricket and whether he wants a re-call for Australia.

Ask them both and everyone at ND how they will handle coming up with the wooden spoon this season

Ask Warner how it feels to be "the future of the game".

Very keen to hear his response to that question if you're willing to ask it Chubb.

Favorite cricketer growing up?

Favorite sportsman, non cricketer?

Favorite sport other than cricket?
Why doesnt Warner get a chance in the test side?
He can't do much worse than the current lot.

Questions/comments from another forum.

Don't ask Hodge about australian selection. It's been done 10000000 times in the last few months. Every interview after/before a game he gets asked this.

I'd ask Warner if he's ever though of changing states. He has talked up how he wants to be taken seriously in the long form of the game and not be a limited overs specialist but really is he going to get FC games at NSW? I think he has like 4-5 games, his average is poor but it'd help if he was in a side where he could actually settle into FC cricket.

I'd also ask Warner and Hodge about the Ryobi cup and wether or not they like it, I'm pretty sure Hodge likes it and i seem to remember him saying something about loving it because he gets to sit off as 12th man while the Vics bowl and he can rest.

I'd also ask them both what they think of the 20/20 comp in Australia becoming franchises and if they like the idea/ know anything about what's being thrown up in regards to drafting players/ will players be changing states just for t20 games?

I'd also ask them about what they think of the state of domestic cricket in Aus is, attendance is non existent and the quality (of shield cricket in particular) is down from what it was imo.

Sorry don't know much about the NZ comp and what to ask there

Ask Hodge if he regrets not coming to NZ earlier in his career, qualifying and playing 100 tests as captain for the side?

Thanks guys. The only trouble I'll have with some of them is I'm working for the Oamaru Mail, and our readers aren't as interested in Australian domestic cricket as you. That's not a big issue though, I can still ask them.

Thought I might be being a bit optimistic. Warner doesn't fly in til tonight (enjoy Oamaru!!), Hodge doesn't talk. I spoke to Graeme Aldridge instead. He was a decent guy- I'll link my article tomorrow if anyone's interested. My apologies.

Ask dave warner whether he thinks the age restrictions are working in 2nd xl cricket.
And will he miss futures cup games to play for northern districts.(we are top of the table).
