Time for 2 Tiers

I voted no this idea because there wasn't a third option. i hate the idea of not seeing the top players in the world tour (and beat up on) NZ.

But I would support a third option where there are two tiers where when inter-tier play occurs it is restricted to a two-test match series. This is not too dissimilar from today with Aussie only agreeing to give us two test match series.

When teams within the same tier play each other it should be a four match series.

I would only agree to this as a NZ fan if Zimbos are blocked from joining the bottom tier - that would be not on to have to play them in a four match series. Putting up with Bangers would be fine.

I think the tiers would be the top 5 and then the bottom four in tiers.

A promotion relegation series would be in order every three years or so.

Exactly. And i dont see the point of two tiers ne way. We already have a limited number of test teams to begin with.

TBH, after watching the ass whopping Pak got from Eng, i don't even care if we play associate teams..at least we have a bigger chance to win......

We already have a thread to compare and contrast West Indies, New Zealand and Pakistan. I'll be moving all the existing posts in here related to that into that thread, but all further posts relating to that matter will be deleted.

Please keep the discussion based around whether the theory of two tiers in general is a good idea and leave the debate for which teams should be in which tier for elsewhere please.
