I've never seen him play (that I can remember). Think about it; I'm fairly sure Perm is around 16-17. That means that four years ago, he would have been 13 at most. When I was 13 I hardly had a clue about cricket players that weren't Australian. And he probably would only have seen him play if Pakistan played against New Zealand, which may not have happened for a year or so.

Well he must have seen plenty of footage of Wasim and has admitted he has watched him on "video" so he has seen him play really. It doesn't stop him commenting on other players pre-2000 he has probably never seen live

Agree with that sentiment Fiery.Who of us have seen WG play yet we all still recognise he is the 2nd best of all time.

No we don't. Some may, but not certainly not everyone. I wouldn't even say it was a majority tbh.
And I know for me, "watching a video" of him would just mean seeing him take a few wickets on Youtube. But you only get to see where he takes wickets, not enough to make a judgement of him as a bowler.
