New day. New Manager - The fickle board of Durham having shown less patience than the Real Madrid President on heat. Rumours of a clash of personalities between Vimes and the 'Galacticos' Collingwood and Harmison had been rife and the parting was acrimonious to say the least.

The arrival of new coach Richards was greeted by the players as they felt the man from Oldham was more in touch with the Northern way of life. Harmison's reward for the whispering campaign against Vimes was to be dropped. A spell in the nets might sort out the radar and the attitude. A multitude of other changes were made and the groundsman was instructed to make the pitch turn from the off. Neighbours Yorkshire were the opponents.

Durham won the toss and put Yorks**** in to bat. Anthony Mcgrath and Michael Vaughan made progress to be 40-0 after 11 overs...

11.1 Brown to Mcgrath - tries to turns it to the legside, leading edge Brinkley catches - 40-1

14th over Law Replaces Brown
14.2 Law to Lehman bowled, completely deceived the podgy Aussie.
14.6 Law to Blakey slower ball, deceives him and pops it straight back to the bowler.

Philips replaces Brinkley 15th over

18.5 Law to Vaughan drives and edges behind, Pratt makes no mistake.

22.1 Law to White, Smashed on the off side, Collingwood takes a flying catch at backward point.

24th over Bridge replaces Law and bowls maiden.

25.4 Philips to Hamilton completely misses the ball and plumb LBW.

Overs 27 to 41 Bridge, Philips and Law keep it tight.
41.1 Law to Fellows edges, taken behind and Law has 5!
49.5 Brown to Richardson, goes for the big one, completly misses, Brown doesnt.

Great Bowling performance - Yorks 148-8 after 50.

Next match and a toughie - Notts Away. Pressing for the quarters the team was unchanged. Stay in bed Harmi - you're not needed son.

Having lost the toss we were put in to bat, Pratt and Peng sent out with instructions to blast the cover off the ball. Partnerships off 31 and 49 set the innings off well but we fell to 126-5. Law Bridge and Brinkley contributed well without getting a top score. Durham posted an average 239 all out from the 49.5 ball.

With a strong Batting line up, Notts were heavy favorites. Brown struck early but he and Brinkley were milked for 4 and 5 an over as Bicknell and Peitersen took control for Notts. Missed catches were in danger of costing Durham - Mann and Brinkley the culprits. Graham Bridge came to the rescue, removing both in batsmen in a tidy spell. Phillips removed Azfaal and Law got Boje but at 216-5 with Johnson and Reid looking comfortable Notts were odds on. Back came Brown and Brinkley and they Skittled the lower order to give Durham a 10 run victory, last 5 wickets lost for 13. Brown the pick with 4 wickets.

A victory in our last match will ensure a QF, i leave the team in good shape

I'm not going to do match reports, because we were ythrashed in both games. We need a spinner. Sri Lanka hammered us by an innings, Sameraweera took 12.

OK, uploading error. Will upload tomorrow morning.

Can easily spot the manager who's useless!

I did crap, yes, but I had to play Sri Lanka in FC, and an average team in OD. I messed up the OD, but Sri Lanka I can't be blamed IMO.

Both games were close losses, but both probably we should have won, The FC game we should have won, but our bowling is just too weak.
