Press button 1 (5) to signal to the bowler that you are ready to face the next delivery.
Look at the bowling cursor (the green circle) to get an idea of where the ball is going to pitch.
Move the batsman with left (left cursor) and right (right cursor) to line him up.
As the bowler begins his run up, you will see the bowling cursor shrink. After this you will not be able to move your batsman.
Select a shot to play:
Press button 1 (5) or 2 (8) to play a defensive shot
Press button 1 (5) -front foot shot- or button 2 (8) -back foot shot- or button 3 (6) -advance down wicket shot- and select a direction (cursor keys) to play an attacking shot (see below for an explanation of different shots you can play).
To play no shot or duck, press button 4 (4).
To add power to your shot, keep button 5 (0) held down as you make your shot.

If a run is available, press button 3 (6) to start your run. Press button 3 (6) again before the batsmen reach the crease to start a further run.
Press button 4 (4) to abort the current run.

Up - Defensive
Up & Right - Sweep/hook
Right - Leg Glance
Down & Right - On-Drive
Down - Straight Drive
Down & Left - Cover Drive
Left - Square Drive/Square Cut
Up & Left - Late Cut/Steer

To make the green marker appear on the screen you have to push
either K, J, L or I. Each different button does
a different ball. To stop the power metre on the side push the
button that you chose to make the green marker appear.
For Example:
If I push K to make the marker appear then I push K to stop the
power metre at the desired speed.

Fast-
Straight ball --- L
Slower ball --- I
Cutter --- K

Swing Bowler

Out-swinger --- J
In-swinger --- L
Straight ball --- K

Off Spin Bowler

Off-spinner --- K or L
Arm ball --- I

Leg Spin Bowler

Leg Spinner --- K or J
Googly --- L
Flipper --- I

Thanks to Hamish Ryan too.

Hey no worries, i just worked it out how to get it going.

i've got the batting ok, but bowling i really lack.

whats the ball down in the bottom left corner do, and when the things in the bottom right that say (1) (2) (3) (4) what buttons do you press to activate them??
and what does the yellow thing which goes up on the ball mean??

Stop aiming to bowl flat out. I get more of a problem with legside wides being missed by the lame Wicket-keeper, and giving away 3 or 4 runs and an extra ball...
