Just like a typical Australian side, players have been rotated for the hit and giggle against the Poms. I mean, what could possibly go wrong?

Poms pounce but Stedman shines

England raced to a nine-wicket victory against an undercooked Australian side. There were some plusses though, as the ODI Tri Series gets ever closer.

Coach's Call -
"Was really pleased with that effort actually. We got a good look at some new blokes and it was great see Stedman and Dunn put their hands up. Our batting bar Stedman was pretty hopeless though. Wright, I'm looking at you."

Mitchell, Thomas - Sublime

What a match. Mat Mitchell and Greg Thomas were heroes with both bat and ball and inspired Australia to a six-wicket victory. Although it was just a friendly, you could tell Australia really wanted this. Australia with some form then as we enter the ODI Tri Series.

Coach's Call -
"Good to see we're not completely pathetic! Well done to Mitchell and Thomas for getting us back in the game and then winning it. Heads looked good for his 20-odd aswell. Bowling wise, Dunn has surprised me with his great form and will need to be seriously considered for the ODI outfit. Somerset came back well after some early damage. A lot to think about before the first ODI."
